Installation plan for fiber optic temperature measurement device in switchgear, description of fiber optic temperature measurement position in incoming cabinet

The fluorescent fiber optic temperature measurement system for switchgear is mainly used for real-time online monitoring of abnormal temperature changes in the switchgear busbar, dynamic and static contacts, and cable contacts. As a type of switchgear, the incoming cabinet usually measures the positions of moving contacts, static contacts, and busbar. The product model and installation method used are also different.

1. When measuring the moving contact, if conventional fiber optic sensor products are directly used, the fiber optic wiring needs to pass through multiple positions of the equipment, and special attention needs to be paid to the need to remove the fiber optic cable at a certain distance before fully removing the vehicle, and to push it back, the fiber optic cable needs to be installed back. In response to this situation, the current conventional solution is to use a two-stage fiber optic sensor consisting of a fiber optic probe and jumper. Each time the cart is taken out, there is no need to remove the fiber optic probe. Instead, when shaken out to a certain distance, a section of the fiber optic probe is removed from the jumper joint. When the cart is restored, only one end of the fiber optic probe needs to be reinserted back into the adapter. The end of the probe is fixed to the plum blossom contact with a fixing piece.

Advantages: It can directly measure the hot spot and provide the most intuitive understanding of temperature.

Disadvantages: When the contact car is shaken out, attention must be paid to the optical fiber, as it is easy to be pulled by external forces due to operation, causing damage to the optical fiber; The stability of segmented optical fibers is not as good as that of integrated fibers.

2. When measuring the static contact, the IF-G fluorescent fiber optic temperature measurement system adopts an integrated fiber optic sensor. The fiber optic is routed from the busbar, and the probe is fixed on the plane of the static contact groove with glue and high-temperature resistant tape. When the moving contact car is closed, the stationary contact can be closest to the plum blossom contact.

Advantages: Wiring from behind the cabinet will not cause any impact when the contact car is shaken out; The integrated fiber optic sensor has good stability and can intuitively reflect temperature at the position closest to the hot spot when the moving contact is closed; Easy to install.

Disadvantage: When moving the contact, the position inside the cabinet that is most likely to cause heat cannot be tightly attached to the hot spot.

When measuring the busbar, an integrated fiber optic sensor is used, and the fiber optic cable is routed from the back of the cabinet. The fiber optic probe is directly fixed and attached to the busbar using zip ties.

Advantages: Wiring from behind the cabinet will not cause any impact when the contact car is shaken out; Integrated fiber optic sensing has good stability; Easy to install.

Disadvantage: By measuring the position of the busbar and static contact point, it is not possible to directly adhere to the hot spot. The temperature of the hot spot is indirectly obtained through the thermal conductivity of the cable, resulting in a small difference in response time and temperature.

The use of fluorescent fiber optic temperature measurement system in switchgear can have multiple channels - conventional channels include 3, 6, 9, 12, etc. The specifications and lengths are customized according to project requirements.
