How to choose manufacturers for single channel and multi-channel temperature monitoring of fluorescent fiber optic thermometers

Time:2024-06-01 Browse: 397

Fluorescent fiber optic thermometer can be used on switchgear and transformers. The thermometer can be customized from 1 channel to 32 channels, and the temperature measurement accuracy can be within 1 degree. So how to choose a suitable fiber optic thermometer? Usually selected based on project requirements

1. High voltage switchgear 3-channel fiber optic thermometer

In the temperature monitoring of high-voltage switchgear, channels 3, 6, 9, and 12 can be selected to monitor the temperature of the upper and lower dynamic and static contacts, incoming and outgoing lines, bus bars, and other positions of the switchgear.

As important electrical equipment in power plants and substations, switchgear and ring main unit (RMU) have elbow joints, dynamic and static contacts, and busbar joints that are in high voltage and high current working conditions for a long time. Due to factors such as surface oxidation, corrosion, loose fastening bolts, and contact aging, the contact resistance increases at the junction of dynamic and static contacts, as well as at the connection of the busbar. This causes an increase in temperature at the contact or joint, and the degree of overheating will continue to intensify, which will affect the insulation performance and equipment life.

The fluorescence fiber temperature measurement system independently developed by Inno Technology can achieve online monitoring of hot spot temperature. The entire fiber is made of non-metallic materials, which can withstand high voltages above 100KV and is immune to electromagnetic interference. It is an inevitable requirement for intelligent substations.

2. Transformer 6-point fiber optic temperature measurement device

The number of temperature measurement points is generally between 3-12 points. The device is designed specifically for power applications and is very suitable for measuring the temperature of hot spots in transformer windings. It is a new type of transformer internal temperature monitoring device that can directly, real-time, and accurately measure the temperature of hot spots such as windings, and can achieve comprehensive monitoring of the transformer's internal environment. In addition to having a wide temperature measurement range and accurate and reliable temperature measurement performance, it also has excellent anti EMI/RFI (electromagnetic interference/radio frequency interference) characteristics, high-voltage insulation and anti-interference performance, which can achieve real-time and accurate monitoring of "hot spot" temperature during dynamic load operation, solving problems such as low safety, poor measurement accuracy, and temperature measurement failure when using traditional electrical temperature measuring instruments in electromagnetic environments.

3. Scientific experiment fiber optic thermometer

In scientific experiments, such as microwave temperature measurement and medical temperature measurement, the number of channels varies greatly, ranging from the development of a single channel experiment twice to a 32 channel large fiber optic temperature measurement host. The traditional temperature measurement method has various problems in terms of insulation performance, installation method, reliability and stability, and resistance to electromagnetic interference. The installation of a fluorescence fiber temperature measurement and temperature measurement integrated device in microwave hyperthermia solves the problem of real-time temperature monitoring that cannot be achieved synchronously in the existing microwave hyperthermia process, which is conducive to improving the effectiveness of hyperthermia and improving the safety and reliability of microwave hyperthermia. By using a temperature measurement system to detect the temperature information at the lesion in real-time, and using an industrial computer to control the output power of the microwave output system based on the temperature information, a closed-loop control of temperature and output power is formed. On the one hand, it ensures the microwave hyperthermia temperature at the lesion, which is conducive to improving the effectiveness of hyperthermia; On the other hand, avoiding excessive temperature of normal tissues around the lesion during hyperthermia can improve the safety and reliability of microwave hyperthermia. The fluorescence fiber optic temperature sensor of Inno Technology can be directly applied in microwave electromagnetic hyperthermia systems, monitoring the temperature of the human body in real time, and can monitor the temperature of multiple parts such as armpits, chest, abdomen, and feet in real time.
